F1 in Schools Thailand Hosts Awards Ceremony for Champions

Bangkok (Thailand) – July 26, 2019 (travelindex.com) – F1 in Schools Thailand, led by CEO and President Dr. Chakraphad Pitakthararuay, staged a “Gathering of the Champions” event to recognize members of the winning teams from the three schools in Thailand, namely, Amnuay Silpa School, Singapore International School of Bangkok and Harrow International School, who had participated in F1 in Schools World Finals Competitions in the past two years. The top “Champion” for the 2018 F1 in Schools World Finals staged in Singapore was Amnuay Silpa’s “Pursuit Racing” team who ranked “6th Place in the World” (Best in Asia). Amnuay Slip School’s

“Dehjo Racing” had also, the year before, won the “Best Newcomer” award amongst other accolades at the F1 in Schools World Finals held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2017. Other teams from Thailand who were also recognized at the awards ceremony were “Kochasri Racing” (Harrow International School Bangkok) and “AL6PH” (Singapore International School of Bangkok).

Joining the 2019 F1 in Schools World Finals in Abu Dhabi later in the year are “Legacy” (Singapore International School of Bangkok) and “Nakara Racing” (Amnuay Silpa) teams from Thailand.

F1 in Schools Thailand has partnered with Pensmith STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) International School since 2017, and together have helped bring F1 in Schools and the competitions to schools in Thailand since then.

F1 in Schools ™ is the official education initiative of Formula 1 ™ and is an International STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) competition that engages with millions of students across the globe. It is an exciting and dynamic challenge for students that simulates the world of an F1 team involving setting up their own team to design, manufacture and race miniature Formula One cars.
